# Tutorial: How to offer Shipping Protection

### Learn How to offer Shipping Protection using Checkout Plus Upsells

Learn how to offer Shipping Protection provide peace of mind that your customers orders will be protected during the delivery process. This tutorial will guide you through creating the shipping protection product, configuring the offer, and selecting a layout that works for you on the checkout.

|| This tutorial requires you to have knowledge of How to add Checkout Plus extensions in Shopify's Checkout Editor and to be on the 'Shopify Plus' plan


### Steps

###### Step 1. Create Your Shipping Protection Product

This product can be created like any other product in your store. Please make sure to set the status to **active** because draft orders can not be sold in the checkout.

###### Step 2. Configure Your Upsell / Shipping Protection in the App


* Open the Checkout Plus App and find the **Upsell App Blocks** feature and select manage

* After selecting manage and creating a new upsell. Configure your Shipping Protection upsell then select **Save**

###### Step 3. Add the Upsell Block to the Checkout Editor

* Once you have the Checkout Editor open, find the **Upsells / Recommendations** Block and add it to your checkout

* Then you should now see you Shipping Protection Product in your checkout. Please make sure yo configure your layout and other settings as well here.
| Tip: I like to use the 'Checkbox - With Description' layout for the package protection
